Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that talented striker Micah Mbick has signed a new contract with the club.

The 18-year-old, who joined the Addicks’ academy at U10 level, has put pen to paper on a deal that runs until the summer of 2028, with a club option of an additional year.

The highly-rated forward, who was prolific for the club’s academy sides, scored just three minutes into his senior debut in 2023 and made five substitute appearances during the Addicks’ 2024/25 promotion-winning campaign.

Manager Nathan Jones said: "We’ve trusted Micah by having him on the bench in the semi-finals and the final, and he’s started to impact in certain games that we’ve had. He’s a young boy, so we’ve got to be very careful with him and make sure that we nurture his development physically and emotionally, as well as technically and tactically.

"He has a wonderful profile, a good size, good pace, good power and he’s come through this wonderful academy again, so we’re really delighted to have secured him and we’re excited about what he can bring. We feel that within the squad we have a real good blend of youth and experience."

Mbick explained how pleased he was to keep working with Jones: “It’s great to have a manager that trusts you. Working with him there is always high intensity and high demands, and he really just pushes me to get to a higher level."
