Josh Edwards says there is a real excitement amongst the Addicks squad as they prepare for Thursday's play-off semi-final second leg against Wycombe Wanderers at The Valley.
Nathan Jones' side earned their 24th clean sheet of the season in all competitions during Sunday's stalemate at Adams Park, extending a club record.
"We obviously all know our roles - the gaffer had us drilled in it since pre-season," Edwards explained. "It's almost second nature to us now, which is why I think we've kept so many clean sheets.
"It was a tough game - we were all well aware of that going into the game. We were happy with the clean sheet but a little disappointed that we didn't create enough chances. Overall, I think it's a decent performance to go into the second leg on."
Looking ahead to Thursday's decider, the 24-year-old said: "We're relishing the whole buzz around the play-offs, it's great to be a part of. We're all really excited for the second leg, obviously the fans have backed us big time and we can't wait to go.
"The fans are going to be huge again for us. On Sunday night they were great at Wycombe, filling out the away end and it was a great reception for us. We're looking forward to getting out at The Valley because we've had a good run there recently and I'm sure the fans will give us another great backing.
"We're all going to go out there and give absolutely everything we can to get us to the play-off final," he added. "We're not going to leave anything out there."
